Covid-19 Compliance Procedure

 

This procedure is put in place to reduce the risk of transmitting Covid-19 whilst obtaining services from Gem Hair. Please read this document carefully.

Client Expectations-

​

* If you  or anyone in your household has any symptoms relating to Covid-19 or has tested positive for covid-19 within the last 14 days,

you must cancel your appointment immediately, request a test and self isolate. 

*Colour clients must have completed a Covid-19 Colour Consultation Form prior to your appointment.

*Please make sure you book the exact appointment you require, appointments cannot have services added at the last minute.

( I will be bringing only the equipment I require for the specific service into your home)

*Please wash hands/sanitise on my arrival and throughout the appointment.

*Hair must be CLEAN for my arrival, (dirty hair will require you to wash it before I can start which will then impact on the time I have available for your service)

*Please provide a clean area for my tools and equipment.

*This is currently a  1-1 service only, please make sure any other household members are not in the same room for the duration of your appointment. Only children who can sit unattended can currently have appointments.

*Please open doors and position chairs to limit the need for me to touch surfaces.

*Windows and doors, where possible to remain open for continued air flow during your appointment

 permitting) and access to the garden during developments times would be appreciated.

*where possible please pay contactless, BAC’s (at the time of the appointment) or sum up machine preferred. Cash will be accepted but please have the right money, change won’t be given.

*It is now mandatory for all clients over the age of 11 to wear a  mask throughout the service

and  at all times whilst 2 metre social distancing can not be adhered to . Please have your mask on ready for me to enter. If you have a medical reason to exempt you from this please let me know in advance of your appointment.

I can provide a disposable mask for £1 per mask, if required.

*Please adhere to social distancing measures whenever possible during my visit, keeping face to face contact to an absolute minimum.

*There will be an additional PPE charge of £1.50 Per client until a time that it is not deemed necessary

My commitment to you-

 

*To assist the NHS Test and Trace procedures by keeping

records of appointments for a minimum of 21 days.

*Wearing a clean apron,  mask and visor for every appointment.

* Only the equipment necessary for your service will be brought into your home.

* Wash/sanitise my hands on arrival and regularly throughout.

* Avoid touching surfaces which isn’t absolutely necessary

* Gowns and towels, as always will be freshly laundered and placed in a bag after use.

*All equipment and tools will be sterilised appropriately before and after every

household

*Appointment diary and record cards will remain in the car where possible or put in a plastic sleeve ( bookings can be made over the phone, text message or on the door step after your appointment.

*Bringing my own water bottle, I may request a refill if necessary.

* Inform all clients seen within a period of 14 days if I, or anyone I have been in contact with, has symptoms or tests positive for Covid-19.

 

 

All guideline set out are for the Health and Safety of you, my other clients, myself and our families.
